Eric Vanacker
Poully-sur-Serre
In his life, Éric has won everything that a fancier can hope to win. This amateur from Halluin (north of France), who lives in Pouilly-sur-Serre, has been winning the top places in championships and marathon competitions for over 20 years now.

In 1999 he won the Perpignan National with a two-year-old pigeon, F97-155934. "It was a pigeon that I had entered in Barcelona the same year, it got lost and took 4 or 5 days to come back. Eric decided to leave him alone for three weeks and to take him to Perpignan where he finished 11th National and 9th International. This pigeon has the origins of Roosens Cobut obtained by an amateur and friend from the Aisne: Marcel Lêveque (Laon). "And on the other side, it was a pigeon from Eric Vitel, the brother of his famous Wim Muller (NL). This was the first time Eric played this competition but not the last...
Indeed, it turns out that the 934 became the father of the F98-588594 called "the new Perpignan" won Perpignan international in 2003. "That day the son of the New Perpignan was also bred and he made 14th international. Father and son... on the same day". With this incredible line of pigeons, Eric will build the basis of the current loft.
"The half-brother of the 1st international is still breeding today, he is the father of Marco. After his international victory Eric met Jos De Smeyter at the prize-giving ceremony "we exchanged pigeons, Jos lent me two females for breeding, especially a black female whose father was the 1st international Perpignan yearling. So we had the first international on both the maternal and paternal side". Marco became the best French pigeon in Barcelona in 2013 and 2014.

The F105225-15 called "Perpignan II" has just been named best European pigeon on the internationals over the last 4 years. With 11 prizes in 11 competitions this Ace is obviously a son of Marco.

Eric does not try to win championships but he participates in all competitions with a minimum of 5 pigeons in each competition.
"In 2019 the grail fell on me!
Without really looking for it. In Pau, he realises a beautiful observation in spite of the fact of the geographical position of the Aisne for this competition. "That year I had a series of good results in Pau, Barcelona and Marseille, and then part of the championship came out and I learned that I was in the lead. That left Narbonne and Perpignan, and Eric didn't miss a beat by finishing first in the CIF, first in the AIF, first in the Europa Marathon, winning the European Cup ... thus winning everything a long-distance fancier can hope to win.
Eric plays mainly the classic widowhood with the second region program competitions as preparation "Finishing on the first federal competition before engaging the inter" he explains. In 2019 and 2020 started the MAPP range gradually and intends to continue for 2022. All pigeons are vaccinated with paramyxo and paratyphosis and since last year the youngsters receive the paramyxovirus + rotavirus vaccine.
The basket is there to make the first selection then the fancier refines with a hand selection " Even if it is true that I am more indulgent and patient with a pigeon of the Marco lineage ".
